Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking a Microbiology Manager.  This is a unique leadership opportunity in this role you will be directly responsible for managing the daily operations of our microbiology laboratory, ensuring compliance with SOPs, policies, regulatory requirements and accreditations.  In addition you will be primary liaison between our clients and the microbiology laboratory.  There is some travel involved with this role.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee daily microbiology operations to ensure compliance with laboratory policies and procedures.
• Continuous evaluation and/or development of laboratory SOPs, test methods and policies in accordance with industry regulations and accreditations.
• Budgeting laboratory expenses.
• Perform and manage laboratory investigations, deviations and CAPAs.
• Train and develop Microbiology staff on test procedures and methods.
• Provide remediation support for clients.
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis of Environmental Monitoring samples, Biological Indicators and media.

Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or related science discipline.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience.
• Three to five years of demonstrated leadership experience with leading a team with varying personalities and skill levels.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Demonstrated ability for strong attention to detail and problem solving.

Microbiology Analyst

Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking a Microbiology Analyst.  This is a unique leadership opportunity in this role you will be for performing laboratory analysis of client samples and general laboratory support.

Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis of environmental monitoring sample
• Perform quality control testing, sterility verification and growth promotion testing of incoming media, identification kits and reagents.
• Perform BI analysis, population verifications and log reductions.
• Maintain lab stock cultures of evaluation testing and dilutions.

Field Service Technician Level 2 – Bel Air, MD


Seeking experienced reliable field service technicians with 3 or more years of experience for our Mid Atlantic offices.  This position is located in the Bel Air Maryland area.   In this position you will be the on the front line, at our client's sites servicing, repairing, testing & certifying cleanrooms, biosafety cabinets, and laminar flow devices. In addition, you will also be performing environmental sampling and decontamination services.


Must Haves:


• NSF Accreditation.
• Clean DMV driving record.

Operations Manager

Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking an Operations Manager.  This is a unique leadership opportunity in this role you will  be responsible for managing the day to day operations of B&V Testing and Certco’s facility, vehicle fleet support, inventory and test instrumentation.
 
In this role a you will be responsible for the following:
Will develop and manage an annual budget for facility operations.
One or more warehouse personnel.
Manage and maintain a 10,000 ft2 office/warehouse facility. Includes identifying and negotiating contracts
with third party vendors for routine maintenance (i.e. HVAC, snow plowing, repairs, etc.)
Responsible for layout of facility for optimization of process flow.
Provide technical support to field technicians on mechanical and electrical equipment needs.
Manage maintenance and calibration program for technician test instrumentation and third party supported decontamination machines. Develop and implement system for tracking instrumentation usage.

Support Client Services department with warehouse storage and tracking of inventory.

Manage and support technician fleet vehicles and accessories as required. Assist finance with selection and purchasing of replacement vehicles.
Participate in Management Team meetings to help develop corporate growth strategy and address operational challenges.
Responsible for building safety equipment and procedures.
Must Haves: 
BS in a technical or operations discipline preferred.
Ability to work with a flexible schedule when needed.
7 to 10 years’ experience in facilities/operations management.
Quality management experience a strong plus. Experience working in or ideally helping an organization achieve ISO 9001 certification a strong plus.
Must have strong technical (mechanical/electrical) education/experience.
Excellent organizational and communication skills required.

Microbiology Laboratory Manager:


 
Due to our rapid growth we are seeking a Microbiology Lab Manager. This is a unique leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building new programs and working with clients.  In this role you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the microbiology laboratory.  This position will oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, industry regulatory requirements and accreditations.  In addition you will work with clients both internally and externally on a regular basis providing consultative remediation expertise.

Mid-Level Microbiology Analyst:

Due to our rapid growth we are seeking an experienced Micro Analyst, The ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment executing, troubleshooting and developing microbiology testing. This role is a tremendous opportunity for a dynamic individual to expand their skill sets and develop their career.  In this role, you will perform a wide variety of activities both in house and at customer sites including:


• Analysis of environmental monitoring samples, including colony counting, gram staining, sub-culturing, microbial identifications (e.g. bacterial, yeast and mold) with VITEK 2, API, Remel system and other microbial sampling/testing analysis.  Assist, initiate, and implement new methods.
• Quality control testing, sterility verification and growth promotion testing of incoming media, identification kits and reagents.
• BI analysis and dilutions.
• Maintain lab stock cultures for evaluation testing and dilutions.
• Maintain adequate inventory media and materials required for testing, routine laboratory maintenance.
• Ensure participation in BSL-2, or below, laboratory housekeeping (e.g. proper disposal of nonhazardous or potentially bio-hazardous materials, lab and lab instrument cleaning.)
• Assist in implementing and maintaining quality and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO, FDA, GLP, cGMP, USP, CFR)
• Develop and execute validation for microbiological assays, equipment, and methods.
• Develop and update SOPs as needed. 
• Promote and participate in continued improvement initiatives that impact production and increase efficiency, including developing and adhering to current KPIs.
• On a steady basis, work with customers providing remediation assistance and microorganism sources. 
• Perform Environmental Monitoring in the field, as needed. 
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and internal laboratory procedures, practices and standards. 

Must Have:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Microbiology or relevant science discipline.
• 2 plus year of experience in a contract microbiology laboratory. 
• Experience in trend analysis and writing investigations for laboratory and environmental monitoring excursions.
• Strong interpersonal  and excellent communication  skills, including customer interaction are a MUST.  In this role you will have frequent sometimes daily contact with both internal and external personnel at all levels and from all departments including field service, and operations, to senior management.
