Technical Reporting Specialist:

The ideal candidate has rock solid office administration and customer relationship skills.  This roles requires someone with strong MS Office skills in combination with a hyper focus for detail and organization.  Someone who enjoys learning new technical services/skills and thrives in a dynamic environment.  This position works with all levels both internally and externally from our clients, field service technicians, to senior management on a daily basis.

Responsibilities Include:

Collect preparation and processing  of customer test and services report documentation to customer specification and the highest standards of quality including entry of data into corporate database with the highest degree of accuracy and thoroughness.

Perform additional reporting and administrative duties including customer service and phone support.

Must Haves:

3 or more years of general office administration/receptionist experience, with a proven track record of excellent organization, time management, phone and writing skills.

Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, including customer interaction are a MUST!


Education equivalent to graduation from High School or the equivalent in related work experience.

Microbiology Laboratory Manager:


 
Due to our rapid growth we are seeking a Microbiology Lab Manager. This is a unique leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building new programs and working with clients.  In this role you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the microbiology laboratory.  This position will oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, industry regulatory requirements and accreditations.  In addition you will work with clients both internally and externally on a regular basis providing consultative remediation expertise.


• Manage and oversee daily microbiology laboratory operations.
• Train, develop, and coach microbiology staff on test procedures and methods.
• Create, develop, and revise laboratory report templates.  Generate and review client reports,ensuring accuracy.
• Client communications and inquiries on sample status and results. 
• Provide support to internal customers.
• Provide remediation support to clients for environmental excursion investigations.
• Perform and manage laboratory investigations, deviations, and CAPAs.
• Responsible for budgeting laboratory expenses, provide and maintain weekly/monthly business metrics.

• Communicate any problems arising from the engineering control specialist’s samples to the ECS Manager.

• Assist Microbiology Staff with routine testing as needed including but not limited to:
  Perform testing and analysis of EM samples and Biological Indicators.
  Perform gram stains, supplemental tests, and identification of microorganisms.
  Perform growth promotion testing on incoming media.
  Perform population verification and log reduction of biological indicators.

Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Microbiology or related science discipline.
• Proven ability to keep up to date with current industry regulations.
• Familiarity with quality management systems.
• Proven ability to work under pressure at a fast pace while maintaining quality.
• Attention to detail, hardworking, dependable, and work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, including customer interaction are a MUST.  In this role you will have frequent sometimes daily contact with both internal and external personnel at all levels and from all departments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Due to the growing nature of our business successful candidates must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.  Travel may vary in frequency and duration if needed. 
• Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.


Nice to Haves:
• National Registry of Microbiologists (NRM) credential is preferred.
• Experience in an FDA registered contract laboratory is preferred.
• Experience in obtaining and maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation is preferred
• 5 or more years of customer service experience with external clients is preferred.
• 5 years of laboratory experience in a leadership/supervisory role is preferred.

Mid-Level Microbiology Analyst:

Due to our rapid growth we are seeking an experienced Micro Analyst, The ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment executing, troubleshooting and developing microbiology testing. This role is a tremendous opportunity for a dynamic individual to expand their skill sets and develop their career.  In this role, you will perform a wide variety of activities both in house and at customer sites including:


• Analysis of environmental monitoring samples, including colony counting, gram staining, sub-culturing, microbial identifications (e.g. bacterial, yeast and mold) with VITEK 2, API, Remel system and other microbial sampling/testing analysis.  Assist, initiate, and implement new methods.
• Quality control testing, sterility verification and growth promotion testing of incoming media, identification kits and reagents.
• BI analysis and dilutions.
• Maintain lab stock cultures for evaluation testing and dilutions.
• Maintain adequate inventory media and materials required for testing, routine laboratory maintenance.
• Ensure participation in BSL-2, or below, laboratory housekeeping (e.g. proper disposal of nonhazardous or potentially bio-hazardous materials, lab and lab instrument cleaning.)
• Assist in implementing and maintaining quality and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO, FDA, GLP, cGMP, USP, CFR)
• Develop and execute validation for microbiological assays, equipment, and methods.
• Develop and update SOPs as needed. 
• Promote and participate in continued improvement initiatives that impact production and increase efficiency, including developing and adhering to current KPIs.
• On a steady basis, work with customers providing remediation assistance and microorganism sources. 
• Perform Environmental Monitoring in the field, as needed. 
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and internal laboratory procedures, practices and standards. 

Must Have:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Microbiology or relevant science discipline.
• 2 plus year of experience in a contract microbiology laboratory. 
• Experience in trend analysis and writing investigations for laboratory and environmental monitoring excursions.
• Strong interpersonal  and excellent communication  skills, including customer interaction are a MUST.  In this role you will have frequent sometimes daily contact with both internal and external personnel at all levels and from all departments including field service, and operations, to senior management.  
• Proven ability to work under pressure at a fast pace while maintaining quality.
• Must be well organized ability to work under pressure is a fast paced environment while maintaining quality and focus on proper procedures. 
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
